So pleased to have bought this. I run my own design engineering company so had thought of building my own rig, but when I saw this I knew it would be worth my time. How right I was. This thing is so so rigid, literally zero flex. So much so I’ve actually mounted my three 27″ screens onto it, it provides the perfect field of view. I found it very easy to assemble with minimal amount of tools needed, so much fun to build! :p
The rig has easily accepted my fanatec wheel, pedals, shifter and handbrake, and positioned perfectly ergonomically.

Simply 5 stars, highly recommended, which is rare for me, I’m pretty difficult to please.

After having raced many years on a PlaySeat using consoles and later PC I gradually transitioned into sim racing. The best tip I can give is to start with 80/20 materials for your first rig but realistically we all start with a table clamp 😉

Although 80/20 is fairly easy to order world wide a good, durable, fair priced 80/20 rig isn’t. At least it wasn’t until now. I think the Cup rig hits the sweet spot. Apart from the seat (has to be ordered separately) it is the cheapest turnkey rig I know of at the time of writing this short review. It’s easy and fun to assemble and elegant in its design. I also ordered the QSP bucket seat through the Sim Lab website along with seat bracket plates and the triple monitor stand. All the necessary parts arrived within a week (I live in NL) and it took about 4 hours to assemble in total. And another 1-2 hours to get a good feel and tune my seating position further.

On top of that, Richard (the owner of Sim Lab) was very helpful and responsive.

Same as Paul i have been racing for a long time on a playseat and it suited me well, but i’m in the process of building an Open Simwheel and thought my playseat had to much flex.

Looked around on the interweb 😉 for a long time and who had thought that in my own country there was a company from a also simracer who delivers complete rigs.
I ordered and got fast delivery although Richard said i was unlucky because they ran out of stock at that time. But nevertheless i got the package within a week (maybe due to living in the Netherlands also). Building was a smooth process and i mounted my seat from the playseat which went like a charm also. If you’re interested in a rig like this one i recommend to order a seat slider also because if your starting to get crancky old man like myself it’s so much easier to get into your rig when you’re able to slide the seat.

All in all a great rig and with my T500 mounted no flex at all and i guess it will be strong enough for my OSW also.

Cherry on the cake is Richard, great easy accessible and helpfull chap.

Thanks Sim Lab EU (aka Richard)

This chassis represents a very good value. The GT-Cup is a very well designed and rigid chassis with a comfortable seating position. I upgraded to this chassis after getting frustrated with using a wheel stand and an office chair. The difference is substantial. The stability of the chassis has resulted in more consistent lap times for me. I’m very glad that I went with an 80/20 rig from Sim-Lab!

I am completely blown away by this product!

I needed to replace my current rig as I was tired of the flex and niggles it had, just couldn’t handle higher force products without bending/flexing/squeaking 🙁

This is unbelievably strong, rigid and infinitely adjustable – i knew it would be but was a lot more than i had expected. I was (fairly) easily able to re-utilise parts from my old rig including the racing seat along with the original handle slider mechanism, simply had to line up some slot pieces and hey presto 🙂

I now have exactly what I wanted and expandable to add more to it, awesome value for money too 🙂
